There are boat loads of different ecommerce platforms on the market today, but regardless of which one you choose, having a faster loading site is critical to customers. That’s why last week Instart Logic announced a strategic partnership with Magento, one of the largest open-sourced ecommerce platforms on the market (commanding about 30% of the market share). Approximately out of every four businesses uses them.
This partnership is a great fit due to Instart Logic’s powerful application delivery platform and their strong focus on ecommerce performance. This partnership will allow ecommerce businesses on the Magento platform to improve their page load times driving higher conversion rates and reducing bounce rates.
Though the partnership is brand new, they already have several customers using the joint solution; Winklestraat, Ghurka, Orchid Boutique, Wysada, Volcom, and Naked Wardrobe to name a few.
The Instart Logic platform will sit as a proxy in between the browser and the Magento origin, allowing them to accelerate and secure the delivery of content from Magento to the shopper. As an added bonus, using the Instart Logic service as a Magento customer requires only a simple DNS change.
This solution should also help smaller and midsize ecommerce companies who may not have experience with CDN to scale their sites and handle surges during peak holiday periods. They will also get an added security layer to protect against DDoS and other malicious traffic.
Most popular ecommerce platforms today do offer CDN as part of their service, but what makes the Instart offering unique is that it is easily able to understand which dynamic content is similar across all users (eg. navigation bar) and cache dynamic content closest to the end user, giving the perceived impression that the site has begun to load almost instantly. Since shopping carts, recommendations, and other similar content are highly dynamic in nature, this will give users a much better experience overall.
